The BimmerBrakes Performance Headers for the E46 3 Series swap the factory’s highly-restrictive headers with integrated cats for our Stainless Steel headers with cats below for a dramatic improvement in performance.
To see what we mean, just take a closer look at the factory manifolds:
- The exhaust catalysts are situated right against the cylinder head, causing extreme heat build up
- Cylinders 1-3 and 4-6 each channel through to a single restrictive pipe
- These characteristics create extreme heat thanks to an inherently bottleneck design
BimmerBrakes’s Performance Header system is designed to eliminate this problem without compromising durability. The factory exhaust catalysts are removed in the process, making this solution suited only for off-road race applications. Optional low-placement cat units are available to help maintain emission standards, but please consult your area’s regulations and laws before installing these racing exhaust headers.

Headers on my SC M54B30
I put these on my supercharged 330xi a couple months ago... so far i love them. Even with the stock exhaust they sound incredible. At higher RPM you get that really distinct BMW I6 sound...you have got to love that! My only complaint is that the gaskets it comes with are not the best... i would recommend buying some OE BMW gaskets and using them instead.

So, about two days after install, all is awesome. Sounds great, a little peppier with the pick up/acceleration. So much better than risking an eBay purchase for $50 less. Install was super easy, slight fitment issue with the mid pipe to header bolt up, but was easily resolved moving a few things around. Highly suggest that power tools are used!! Lol.

Best Bang For Your Buck
Recently purchased these headers for my e46 330xi. Shipped right away & great customer service. The headers themselves have some of the nicest & cleanest welds I've seen. They fit like a glove & easy to install. You do not need to worry about any fabrication or searching for the hardware needed! The headers include all the gaskets and bolts needed to make the job 100%. Very satisfied with the product. Looks & sounds amazing.
